Sulphur soap, a gift from the gods volcanoes

Sulfur or Sulphur is a mineral found in hot springs, clay, and volcanic ash, and it is also as a trace mineral in the human body. It does double duty when it comes to pores: Sulfur kills bacteria and draws out oil, which in turn reduces buildup in pores. Sulfur is a keratolytic, which means it causes mild shedding of the top layers of the skin. This helps clear away dead skin cells that can contribute to clogged pores, breakouts, uneven texture, and dullness.

In olden times, individuals had to take a dip in sulfur-rich hot springs located at a distance from an active volcano. Spas often appeared around these areas to provide patrons privacy and comfort while they visited the pools of heated water and sulfur. Many people frequented these places because the hot water therapy soothed their aching muscles and the sulfur healed their skin problems, such as acne vulgaris, whiteheads, blackheads, eczema, rosacea, scabies, and seborrheic dermatitis.

Lixoné has created the Lixoné’s Sulfur soap, that brings many health benefits to your skin through its antiseptic, anti-fungal and antibacterial qualities. Lixoné Sulphur soap could be used for washing the body and face. Sulfur's cleansing properties are packaged neatly in these soap bars.  Like in the ancient times, use sulfur soaps to remedy a severe acne problem as well as common skin blemishes, such as blackheads, whiteheads, and warts. Usually, the sulfur dries up the skin's oil glands while it kills the bacterial growth in skin infections and inflammations. And so, the swelling and pain goes down as the pus disappears from the infected skin. With the skin's oil glands under control and the sulfur cleanses the clogged skin pores, the sulfur soap has effectively gotten rid of acne for good.

Apart from healing these commonplace skin problems, bathing or showering using Lixoné Sulfur soap seems also effective in healing eczema, especially when it has developed a butterfly twin on the other limb and became infected. Again, the drying effect of sulfur on skin works wonders in reducing the swelling flesh, eliminating intense itchiness (pruritis), and healing the infected area. Despite eczema's repeated attacks, it won't become worse and get infected again as long as the person continues to use sulfur soap when taking a shower. Also, Lixoné Sulfur soap effectively kills off skin fungi that cause seborrheic dermatitis on the face, body, and scalp (dandruff). This condition produces bits of flaky skin that causes an intense sensation of itchiness (pruritis). Moreover, the sulfur also poisons all the microscopic mites that burrow under the skin to lay eggs, which causes itching. If not remedied, the constant scratching soon breaks through the skin and the open wound becomes infected.

Let's take a look more in detail at some of the many benefits of this gift of Nature:

Acne treatment

One of the features of sulfur is that it causes the skin to dry out a bit and peel. When there is acne, your skin is more moist and oily than normal. Since sulfur dries the skin out, it will help decrease the inflammation of pimples and other blemishes on your epidermis. Sulfur can also help decrease the appearance of whiteheads on your skin by decreasing the oiliness and preventing pores from becoming blocked.

Treatment of scabies

Scabies occurs when microscopic mites bury themselves under the skin. This causes uncomfortable itching, soreness and rashes. Sulfur is toxic to these mites and can kill them, which makes the use of sulfur soap an effective and affordable way to get rid of scabies.

Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that is caused by fungus growing on your skin, which can make your skin greasy, red, flaky and scaly. This skin disease can occur in many places on your body, including your face, chest, armpits and hairline. Lixoné Sulfur soap helps kill the fungus and remove which can help treat the seborrheic dermatitis.

Controlling rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition of the facial skin that causes redness and blemishes or bumps on the cheeks, forehead, chin and nose. It is characterized by flare-ups and remissions. It can also occur on your scalp, chest, neck and ears. The redness becomes more persistent if this disorder is not treated and can become extremely uncomfortable. If left untreated for long periods of time, blood vessels, referred to as spider veins, may become visible. Unfortunately, there is no cure for rosacea, but Lixoné Sulfur soap can help control some of its signs and symptoms. Lixoné Sulfur soap, with its drying abilities, can help reduce the redness and clear up rosacea bumps that flare up on your skin.

Lixoné Sulfur soap helps to clear eczema

As far as natural eczema treatments go, sulfur is as the top of the list. Sulfur possesses medicinal and therapeutic properties that can help alleviate symptoms, like inflammation and dry, itchy patches. If you're struggling with eczema, try a cleansing bar that contains sulfur, like Lixoné Sulfur soap.

Fortunately, Lixoné Sulfur soaps don't contain highly acidic ingredients that will irritate sensitive skin types. Modern soap making processes have refined the quality of the bar's texture and its compactness.
